In October 2012 we embarked on an epic project to capture Australia through the mediums of timelapse photography and slow motion. The journey has been dedicated to this purpose. We’ve travelled by car, sea and air in excess of 43,000 kilometres, taking more than 300,000 photos. The hours have been long, the distances travelled have been vast but the landscapes have been inspirational. I’m thrilled to show you MADE IN AUSTRALIA in a way that is rarely captured.

I’m also thrilled that BOY ROBOT has graciously given me permission to use their soundtrack, LIVE IN VANILLA, as the score for this short film. I think that it complements the Australian landscapes perfectly. The music can be purchased at itunes.apple.com/album/rotten-cocktails/id69903493

Many people and businesses need to be thanked for their invaluable contribution to the project.

Most importantly, I’d like to say a huge thank you to my assistant, Sarah. Her contribution has been immeasurable.

To the many hotels, motels, friends and relatives that provided accommodation along the way, thank you. To the businesses that welcomed us, thank you. I urge you to support them in your own travels. Their details are listed on my website.

To the providers of photographic equipment, thank you. In particular, Western Digital, Lexar Professional, Lensbaby, Lowepro, Joby, Velbon and Rode.

Backpackers – chapter II: CAMBODIA

Backpackers – chapter II: CAMBODIA

BACKPACKERS:
2 boys. 3 countries. 23 days.

Chapter II: CAMBODIA
We arrived in Phnom Penh by boat through the Mekong River and we spent about 8 days going up the country till Battambang, via Siem Reap.
Cambodia is fantastic and really varied: we moved from completely uncivilized areas to touristic places full of charm, like the archaeological site of Angkor, structures that leave you totally breathless.
This is ‘my’ Cambodia.

China through my eyes

China through my eyes

I made this video during summer 2012, while enjoying a 2 weeks trip to Shanghai. I let my feelings rested for a few months and I just finished editing.

I went there with my 5D MKIII and some lenses in my backpack 😉
My goal was to get the max of this trip & enjoy my friends over there, but also to bring enough rushes to make a shortfilm. Showing exactly what I felt during this trip, the different stages through which I passed. The very touristic side of China, then immersed in a new culture and finally the “expatriate” side with all my friends living there. That’s why I called this video “China through my eyes”.

I would, again, to thank everyone who helped me make this video!

_________________________________________________________________________________

C’est pourquoi j’ai intitulé cette vidéo “China through my eyes”.

Je tiens encore une fois à remercier toutes les personnes m’ayant permis de réaliser cette vidéo!

Chapter I: VIETNAM

Here’s the first chapter of our Asian adventure.
We spent six days in vietnam.
Arrived in Ho Chi Minh City we stopped few days then we went down to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta, stopping first at Cu Chi. Last step was Chau Doc, where we boarded for Cambodia.
What impressed me the most of Vietnam were friendliness and smiles and smiles of Vietnamese, as well as beautiful landscapes that leave you speechless. I literally fell in love with this country.

WOW more than 2.500 views in just a couple of days – thank you all for watching, the positive comments & likes. I appreciate very much.

———– Here the story of the video:

When I turned 30 my girlfriend surprised me with 2 flight tickets to Buenos Aires and from B.A. to Las Vegas.
We travelled through Argentina (RA), Uruguay (RAU) and the East Coast of the US by bus, car and plane. We ate, danced and had the best time. This is the video that tries to catch some of those moments…I hope you will enjoy the trip with us.
