Venice of the North – Stockholm

Venice of the North – Stockholm

atjaproductions.se

Did you know there’s other places that look even better than Venice? Probably not. So here’s our video from our beautiful capital, Stockholm, showing why you should visit us instead of Italy which is way too warm for you anyways.

A time lapse video showing some places around Stockholm at night. The clips was created during the past year and the focus was to capture different bodies of water around the city and get some nice reflections.

Kuala Lumpur DAY-NIGHT

Kuala Lumpur DAY-NIGHT

Kuala Lumpur: super-modern buildings juxtaposed with various cultural enclaves and with a little of Asia’s chaos thrown in. My time lapse explores how the city changes from day to night highlighting how spaces dramatically alter during the course of a few hours.

As summarised by Marc Lourdes on Yahoo! Malaysia:

“5 months. 400 hours of solid work. 4 cameras. 40 shoots. 640 gigabytes of data. 19,997 photographs.”

Cityscape Chicago

Cityscape Chicago

Please watch in Fullscreen & HD with sound for best quality.

Cityscape Chicago is a personal timelapse piece consisting of over 30,000 still photographs shot on the Canon 5D Mark III incrementally between July and October 2012 around downtown Chicago, Illinois.

The inspiration of this piece was my fascination with the city of Chicago, particularly at night. For me, there has always been a mysterious sort of feeling to Chicago at night, so I decided to explore and capture it.

Special thanks to Kessler Crane for the motion control equipment used in the making of this video.

After Midnight

After Midnight

LA has a reputation for being an early city. The bars close at 2:00am, and many people don’t even make it that late. Yes, there are pockets of late night activity to be found around the city, but all in all, LA is sleepier than many big cities during the early morning hours.

But, when viewed from a more macro perspective, it is obvious that the city is still very much alive, pulsing with activity and lots of people moving around. During a recent shoot at Mt. Wilson in the San Gabriel Mountains, I ended up staying fairly late and became enthralled with the level of activity in the city below. I made a number of subsequent trips back to see and capture more during the early morning hours. I was also lucky enough to catch the entire LA basin fogged in after 2:00am one night, resulting in the dark night sky making an appearance above the shrouded city.

Mt. Wilson is only one of over 50 locations I’m visiting around the LA area for an upcoming project. I can’t wait to share more of this city, both the known and lesser known. Suffice it to say, there is much more to LA than most people imagine.
